The PE department were very pleased with the effort of all pupils from years 7, 8 and 9 who took part in Sportsday at Jenner Park.
The highlight of the day were every athlete of all abilities taking part in the 100m heats. Combined with the 100m compulsory event, pupils also chose to compete in a number of other events, ranging from hurdles and middle distance events to shot put and tug of war. Pupils were supported by fellow house members and officiating staff to make it a competitive and enjoyable environment.
This was the first Whitmore High Sportsday and with the added inclusion of female athletes made it a memorable day. Thanks go to all pupils, staff and parents that attended.
