A group of pupils from Whitmore High went to Merthyr Mawr Estate to deliver Owl boxes to the owners. These will help the owl population to flourish by providing a shelter where they can raise their young. The boys made the boxes over several weeks in their own time using the resources on site and the expertise of Mr Lund our departmental technician.
One of the pupils, Thomas Froud said “Doing the project was a lot of fun and the opportunity to visit the site and experience how they used water mills to cut wood and stone was amazing!”
